Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/70.0.3538.110 Safari/537.36 Example URL: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/53551277/maybe-a-chrome-bug-mouse-wheel-scrolling-does-not-work-on-the-top-composition-l Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. open the test.html 2. scroll the pop-up, which contains content “1. a 2.b ...”, using mouse wheel 3. no scrolling occurs to pop-up 4. 4.1 please comment out `transform: translateZ(0);` in the test.html and goto 1 4.1 or resize the window to force a re-render 5. scrolling occurs to pop-up What is the expected behavior? "pop-up" is always scrollable What went wrong? "pop-up" is scrollable only when page is re-rendered or no composition layer is created. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Able to reproduce the issue on reported version 70.0.3538.110 and latest chrome# 73.0.3628.0 using Windows-10, Mac 10.14.0 and Linux 17.10 hence providing Bisect Info Bisect Info: ================ Good build: 69.0.3453.0 Bad build: 69.0.3455.0 On performing per-revision getting error, hence providing below change log from chromium bisect You are probably looking for a change made after 565924 (known good), but no later than 565925 (first known bad). Fixed by BGPT. I think this testcase exposes an incomplete invalidation during compositing update when an animation is lost. |
