Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/70.0.3538.110 Safari/537.36 Platform: 10895.78.0 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Log into chromebook using any account 2. Open chrome browser 3. Type 1-5 characters in the address bar (search engine must be set to Google) What is the expected behavior? The browser should work normally. What went wrong? 1. The browser will freeze for 4-5 seconds 2. Then the screen will flash black for 1-2 seconds 3. Then the screen will return back 4. At this point the browser has crashed, all previous tabs are gone, only the home page tab is open, and it says "Restore pages? Chrome didn't shut down correctly." 2 buttons are shown - Restore and Open startup pages Crashed report ID: No How much crashed? Whole browser Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 69.0.3497.120 Channel: stable OS Version: 69.0.3497.120 Flash Version: 31.0.0.108 1. If you change the address bar search engine to anything other than Google (Yahoo!, Bing, Ask, AOL) the crash doesn’t happen. 2. It can take typing anywhere from 1-5 characters to make the crash happen, but I've never seen it take more than 5 characters so far. 3. Typing in the address bar in an incognito window does not cause the browser to crash. 4. The crash happens no matter which account is logged into the chromebook. 5. Powerwashing or Recovering the chromebook does seem to resolve the issue.

I updated to Chrome 70 and it seems to have resolved the issue.
