Pointer position at the receiver of screenshare from chrome is different from screensharing sender from chrome

Open Google chrome. 2. Go to appear.in 3. start a meeting and start screenshare 4. Ask a person to join the same meeting 5. Receiver should see the incoming screenshare 6. Receiver will see the mouse pointer in different location than the sender What is the expected behavior? Receiver and sender should see the mouse pointer in same location in the screen What went wrong? Receiver of screenshare is seeing the mouse pointer in different location. Did this work before? I can't reproduce it with Chrome 70/72 on my Win10 machine, either with Appear.in or Google Meet. neerajatnitc@ and viswa.karala@, can you reproduce it with Google Meet? Could you please elaborate the reproduction steps? BTW: the cl, https://webrtc-review.googlesource.com/71621, should only affect Mac OSX, but not other platforms.

Please be specific about the DPI on the host computer as well (the one whose screen you're capturing). Given the nature of the suspected CL, it might only repro for high-DPI hosts.

Since we're using DirectX capture by default, the DPI setting won't be involved on Windows, if I read the codes correctly. Anyway, it is important to clarify the reproduction environment too, i.e. monitor type and display setting and etc.

Oh my bad. I did misread the code and DirectX still reports the DPI to desktop_frame. The reason I couldn't reproduce this problem is none of my two Win machines has such a high DPI, one 168 and the other 96. This issue will only happen when the DPI is 192 or higher. What's the monitor in your test? :) If I fake the DPI to 192 on my Win machines, then I can see the problem. Since on Windows we don't need the compensation in that cl. So it's OK to make it exclusive to OSX.

Able to reproduce the issue on chrome reported version 70.0.3538.110(Build without fix) Verified the fix on Windows-10 on Chrome version #73.0.3631.0 as per the comment#0 Attaching screenshot for reference. The fix in c#7 won't cause other problem, which is just to limit the change in previous cl to OSX as it should be. But you remind me of another case. viswa.karala@, could you please help to do another test: when you share the screen, try to move the cursor to the right-bottom part of screen and see if the cursor is correctly composed and shared.
