When Crostini is disabled, pinned apps are not removed from menu and they crash the system |
||||
Issue descriptionChrome version: eve / 72 OS: Chrome Repro steps: 1. Install crostini 2. Install and launch an app (like gnucash) 3. Pin the app 4. Disable / remove crostini Expected: pinned app launcher should be removed Actual: not only it's not removed, but when you click it, it crashes the system (I can send a bugreport if necessary, but it should be straightforward to reproduce)

I have not repro'd this on ToT. My test app was Gimp, and it was pinned but not running. I'll do another test with Gimp running.

At tip of tree on my dev eve: 1. Install Linux 2. update/upgrade container 3. Install gnucash 4. Pin to shelf 5. Uninstall Linux ==> Pinned app disappears immediately (app wasn't running). 4. Pin to shelf 5. Launch gnucash 6. Uninstall Linux ==> Pinned app disappears after Linux uninstall completes. No crash 4. Pin to shelf 5. Launch gnucash 6. Uninstall Linux 7. Click pinned gnucash while Linux uninstall is running ==> Pinned app has a spinner. Spinner spins indefinitely (but can be closed via context menu). No crash.

Tried to repro on R72-11307-0-0. Didn't crash either. Can you send a bug/crash report?

I tried to reproduce on Slate and it worked fine, although the initial crash happened on Pixelbook. Anyways, feel free to close it as not reproducible...
