Crostini: Unable to find Share with linux option for Google drive folders

Project Member Reported by avkodipelli@chromium.org, Nov 26

Issue description

Chrome Version: 72.0.3618.0
Chrome OS Version: 11297.0.0
Chrome OS Platform: lava, basking(reef)
Network info: WiFi

Please specify Cr-* of the system to which this bug/feature applies (add
the label below).

Steps To Reproduce:
(1) Open chrome://settings/?search=linux
(2) Install linux
(3) Open Files app
(4) Right click on "My Drive" folder in "Google Drive".
(5) observe options

Expected Result:
- Option to "Share with Linux"

Actual Result:
- No option for sharing with linux. "Only New folder" options is observed. observe screenshots below.

How frequently does this problem reproduce? (Always, sometimes, hard to
reproduce?)
Always.

Note: "Share with Linux" option is observed/working for Downloads folder under My files.

Sharing with Drive is only expected to work with chrome://flags#enable-drive-fs
Joel, is chrome://flags#enable-drive-fs flag enabled by default in M72 (or planned to be) ?
Observed "Share with Linux" option after Enabling the chrome://flags#enable-drive-fs.

Observed few other issues after that:
1, After sharing Google drive(My Drive) using "Share with Linux", files are not showing under /mnt/chromeos/
2, My Drive shared path is observed at chrome://settings/crostini/sharedPaths?search=linux but files are not showing in linux.
2, "Share with Linux" option is again showing while right click on My drive. But files are not showing linux.
3, After rebooting the device, My Drive files are showing in Linux.
The flag is being rolled out using finch.
Did you restart the device after enabling the flag? If drivefs is not mounted at startup there can be issues.

But from a fresh reboot, it is expected that sharing files should be available in linux immediately.
After enabling flag, there was a restart option which restarted browser but not entire device.
I did manual reboot and then it was working fine.
This is a known issue which is not expected to be fixed before M72. crbug.com/908289 .

If everything is working OK after a reboot, feel free to set this bug as blocked on 90829, or as a duplicate of it.

Re #5: I didn't have to enable a flag during my testing so that explains it. Thanks!
