Copy shortcut closes tab if address bar is highlighted

Reported by dimaivan...@gmail.com, Nov 24

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_14_1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/70.0.3538.110 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Have multiple tabs open
2. Click into the address bar
3. Press cmd + c (no text highlighted) --> no action as expected
4. Highlight some text in the address bar
5. Press cmd + c

What is the expected behavior?
Copies the text in the address bar

What went wrong?
Instead of copying the text, the tab is being closed.

Did this work before? Yes This started happening about 1-2 months ago.. I believe I had submitted another issue at that time, but couldn't find it.

Which Keyboard Layout are you using?
Is the keyboard layout specific to Chrome or are you asking on the OS level? If the latter then it's just standard QWERTY. Not sure about chrome-specific layouts, though I haven't customized anything at that level.

Yes, I mean on OS-Level. Can you also reproduce it in Chrome Canary which you can download here: https://www.google.com/chrome/canary/

Yes, this also reproduces in Chrome Canary
Thanks for checking. I can't reproduce it. Did you try to disable all extensions or/and to test it with another fresh Chrome profile?

Thanks for the suggestion! It ended up being due to a hotkey from the TabWrangler extension. Seemed to have randomly been set as a default. Appreciate the help! This can be closed now.
