Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS aarch64 11021.81.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/70.0.3538.110 Safari/537.36 Platform: 11021.81.0 (Official Build) stable-channel kevin Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Flip chromebook Plus V1 (2017) to Tablet mode. 2. Open Chrome. Notice no bar at top with x and dash. 3. Download any file you need or want. 4. Swipe the notification away in the bottom tray. 5. Close Tray & notification reappears until click clear all. Using Stylus Tool: 1. In tablet mode, open multiple windows. Sart moving the stylus on the screen to move things such as in drag and drops. It opens split screen mode and does not easily exit it. Happens way too easily. What is the expected behavior? Not open split screen mode so easily and haphazardly in tablet mode. Tablet mode is far too different from standard chromebook mode and should have as similar as possible an interface. Apps should not organize themself as one per single page of apps in drawer. Android apps should not cause overheating of device and lack of FPS during game play. Split screen mode should not activate so easily when using stylus in any mode but especially in tablet mode. Should be a separate action such as you must tap and hold the desktop view button to activate split screen etc. Minimize and close X should display in top window bar in tablet mode. Notifications should be able to be dismissed by swiping as they used to be in tablet mode. Available space and used space should be showing in the left hand menu of the files app tab. What went wrong? Split screen mode is entered into too easily using stylus in any mode. Haphazard activation of it especially when drawing, or drag and drop motions. Enters into split screen when just attempting to swipe left and right with stylus for web page and other page navigation in system such as switching from picture to picture in files. The notification tray does not dismiss notifications when swiped away after downloading a file when in tablet mode. It just acts like it has dismissed it until you close the notification tray and then they all reappear until you hit clear all. System is overheating since update to the point the bottom of the metal casing got so hot it physically burned my hand after about fifteen minutes of use. FPS have fallen short in any android games since update and graphics unit seems to be overheating way too easily. System displayed the heating notification briefly but then it was dismissed without me touching anything. It happened right after it burnt my hand. Browser windows missing x for close and dash for minimize on windows in tablet mode all of a sudden making functionality much more complicated. App drawer in tablet mode and regular rearranges apps so that there are random pages with a singular app and the rest of the screen empty. You can drag them around and move things and it still just replaces that app page with one app with a different app than the one you moved and still remains just a single app on that page. Files tab is missing space available on device and space used section on left hand side now. Banding occurring in graphics during gameplay now. UI not scaling properly in tablet mode and not properly connecting arc modules. Did this work before? Yes Previous before November 19, 2018 update. Chrome version: 70.0.3538.110 Channel: stable OS Version: 11021.81.0 Flash Version: 31.0.0.148 /opt/google/chrome/pepper/libpepflashplayer.so Severe regression to the system since this update rolled out. Makes using the chromebook in tablet mode too messy and complicated. User interface is broken now in Tablet mode, but was fine with the exception of no clear all button on notifications. Severe issue now with the layout and entering split screen way too easily and constantly while trying to navigate using stylus. Tablet mode should not differ so much from regular mode on this device. It is a huge problem. System is now overheating since last update today November 19 to the point the bottom of the metal casing burned my hand within one hour of updating the device. Internet connectivity now an issue and graphics performance is severely lacking especially in Android games where banding occurs in various titles now. Feedback reports submitted. |
