Issue descriptionChrome Version: 70.0.3538.76 (Official Build) (64-bit) Chrome OS Version: Version 70.0.3538.76 (Official Build) (64-bit) Chrome OS Platform: Pixelbook Network info: Wifi Please specify Cr-* of the system to which this bug/feature applies (add the label below). Steps To Reproduce: (1) Download Skype for Ubuntu (2) Install like any other local .deb file installation (3) Open Skype using launcher (4) Skype cannot access Pixelbook's speaker or Webcam Expected Result: Linux apps should be able access native hardware Actual Result: Camera and speakers cannot be access by Skype linux app How frequently does this problem reproduce? (Always, sometimes, hard to reproduce?) Everytime What is the impact to the user, and is there a workaround? If so, what is it? Makes the apps unusable Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screen shot or log if possible. For graphics-related bugs, please copy/paste the contents of the about:gpu page at the end of this report.

we're working on audio support already (issue 781398). camera support isn't on the roadmap atm though, and prob will be a few releases before we look into it. camera will probably be more work as i don't think we have any way of virtualizing or muxing streams (like we can with audio). |
