Regression: Unwanted blink of vertical white is seen in tabstrip area while opening multiple tabs.

Issue descriptionChrome Version: 72.0.3616.0 Revision 95ce71356251517776e712f9815217c46c767dcc-refs/branch-heads/3616@{#1}(32/64Bit) OS: Windows(7,8,8.1,10) What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Launch chrome, open multiple tabs using Ctrl+T or clicking on + icon in tabstrip. (2) Observe vertical line while opening tabs. Actual: Unwanted blink of vertical white is seen in tabstrip area while opening tabs. Expected: No such a blink should seen. This is a regression issue, broken in 'M69', will soon update other info: Good Build:69.0.3479.0 Bad Build: 69.0.3480.0 Note: Issue is not seen on Mac(10.13.1,10.13.6,10.14.6) and Linux(10.14LTS) OS.

To clarify this bug: I can't see the issue on the screencast, but in real-world testing, if I add new tabs once the tabstrip goes into overflow, there is a brief blip of the tab at 1 DIP wide, at wherever its X coordinate would actually be (e.g. behind the NTB), before it disappears. This may get mooted by scrollable tabs. |
