kiosk printing delay

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/70.0.3538.110 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Run with --kiosk --kiosk-printing 2. Try to print (window.print() or Ctrl+P, I guess) 3. Print shows for 30 to 60 seconds and then goes to printer. What is the expected behavior? Chrome should print silently. The dialog should not be shown at all, it should be hidden, off-screen or run in the background. What went wrong? Silent printing is still not silent. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 70.0.3538.110 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: This is important for kiosks that print receipts via thermal printers, etc.

Thanks for the issue... Tried to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 70.0.3538.110 using Windows 7. Attaching screencast for reference. Steps: --------- 1. Launched reported chrome with --kiosk --kiosk-printing 2. Clicked on Ctrl +P As we have observed that the print popup as blink @Reporter: Could you please review the attached screen-cast and confirm if anything being missed here and Request you to retry this issue with fresh profile without any extensions & apps or reset all the flags and let us know if issue still persists. This looks like a duplicate of bug 169004. RE: comment 2, note that the amount of time the dialog shows depends on how long it takes to find and communicate with the printer and to render the page to PDF, since these are the two steps that need to happen before we can send the print job to the printer, so it will vary by printer setup and print job.
