CVE-2018-10853 CrOS: Vulnerability reported in Linux kernel

Project Member Reported by vomit.go...@appspot.gserviceaccount.com, Nov 20

Issue description

VOMIT (go/vomit) has received an external vulnerability report for the Linux kernel.

Advisory: CVE-2018-10853
  Details: http://vomit.googleplex.com/advisory?id=CVE/CVE-2018-10853
  CVSS severity score: 4.6/10.0
  Description:

A flaw was found in the way Linux kernel KVM hypervisor before 4.18 emulated instructions such as sgdt/sidt/fxsave/fxrstor. It did not check current privilege(CPL) level while emulating unprivileged instructions. An unprivileged guest user/process could use this flaw to potentially escalate privileges inside guest.
