ChromeBook crashes to a black screen multiple times per day

Reported by yes...@gmail.com, Nov 17

Issue description

Chrome Version : 70.0.3538.76 (Official Build) (32-bit)
Revision	22757df8a5ddfacf2eaf57b85f4ea54c14b8f87a-refs/branch-heads/3538@{#1031}
Platform	11021.56.0 (Official Build) stable-channel veyron_minnie
Firmware Version	Google_Veyron_Minnie.6588.237.0
ARC	5081697
JavaScript	V8 7.0.276.31
Flash	31.0.0.122
URLs (if applicable) : NA
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL, along with the version, after other browsers where you
have tested this issue:
     Safari: NA
    Firefox: NA
       Edge: NA

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) I haven't found a pattern to the pattern to the crashes. They have occurred while using the browser and the Scribe and Caret text editors as well as when the Chromebook is idle.

What is the expected result? Chromebook should not crash several times a day

What happens instead?
Crashes always starts with a UI freeze for about 30 seconds, Then the screen turns black with only a white mouse pointer. Moving the mouse moves the pointer but the mouse buttons and keyboard don't do anything and pressing the power button doesn't shit down the machine.
(3) After about 5 minutes on the black screen, the Chromebook reboots.
