Grammarly extension causes rendering issues in Facebook Messenger

OS: Pixelbook: 11021.56.0 (Official Build) beta-channel eve

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Go to FB messenger: https://www.facebook.com/messages/
(2) Begin typing in a chat box. I've found it triggers the bug faster if you do lots of editing, and in particular lots of select all / cut / paste.
(3) Chat box begins showing rendering artifacts (see attached)

At first I thought this was a Grammarly bug, but one time I noticed that it was rendering content from a different open tab.

Oh, I should add that if I disable the extension in about:extensions I'm unable to repro the bug.
