Android History UI Should Provide Access to URL (or Longer Title)

Project Member Reported by mpear...@chromium.org, Nov 14

Issue description

I regularly find myself scrolling through the History view on my Android device and feeling lost. So many pages with identical titles, because the page only displays the first couple of words. And the pages are indistinguishable by URL either, as only the hostname is displayed.

I regularly try to long-press on a item, in hopes of popping up a context menu to display the URL (as happens when I long-press on links in web content). That would help me figure out which entry I actually want.

Long-press apparently actually selects the item (and switches into selection mode)

Can we please support long-press on the history item to get a context menu? Perhaps long-press on the icon can still switch to selection mode, or maybe selection mode can be entered another way.

(Displaying the full title would help just as much as allowing me access to the URL. I imagine that's a non-starter though.)
