I often long press on links in web page content area to get more details about them. This is especially useful because a lot of sites put the title of the page in the URL, e.g., example.com/this-is-an-article-about-how-you-should-read-URLs. That provides a lot of information about what the page will be about.
Whenever I try to do this with Android NTP feed suggestions, I'm disappointed the URL isn't displayed. Sometimes, as in the attached screenshot, the text displayed in the suggestion isn't enough to indicate the content.
SF to Spent $4M to rebuild 'burned to the ground' Golden Gate ...
-- wow, I would love to see the whole title. If I had access to the URL, I'd know what the page is about. (The URL is http://www.sfexaminer.com/sf-spend-4m-rebuild-burned-ground-golden-gate-park-clubhouse/)
Parenting involves a lot of tough choices. Deciding to see the ...
-- see what? I'd have to click to know. If I could see the URL, I'd know what to expect. https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/2018/11/13/finally-an-easy-parenting-decision-lets-see-world/
In short, without displaying longer titles, these suggestions feel clickbaiting. Without displaying the longer titles, they'd be less clickbaiting if I had access to the URL.
