Tried testing the issue on reported chrome version #70.0.3538.77 and latest stable #70.0.3538.102 using Ubuntu 17.10 by following below steps. Steps: ===== 1.Launched chrome. 2.Tried to download a sample pdf file. 3.Observed that the file got downloaded successfully and unable to see a pop-up with 'Open with xdg-open'. Attached screencast for reference. @reporter: Could you please provide any specific URL or file that reproduces the issue and also confirm if the issue is specific to Debian Strech. Request you to retry the issue on latest stable by creating a new person without any apps or extensions in it. You can download the latest stable from-"https://www.chromium.org/getting-involved/dev-channel". Thanks.!
