It seems generically useful so certainly I think Chrome would be interested in it. 

To just put it out there as a feature request, with no attempts to get it prioritized, we can just move this to the "gerrit" project (rather than Chromium) and change the component to "PolyGerrit". Then their triage process would take it from there. 

If you want the priority raised... I am the right person to work with on that. Gerrit team just doesn't have the bandwidth to prioritize everything we want so my role is to help figure out what do we most want to get done and let them focus on our biggest priorities.

I can't speak for them, but there's also a possibility that they'd accept a contribution to implement this in Gerrit. If not, we can always write a PolyGerrit plugin, or add this functionality into an existing one like chromium-behavior.

It's not urgent so let's throw it in their bucket and see if they can find the time to implement it. I don't think that we can track labels across projects so let's open another bug in their project for the feature request so we can keep this one here.
