chromium pops occur constantly with the same message

Reported by marp2...@gmail.com, Nov 10

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/70.0.3538.77 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Looked for chromium to delete in privacy settings using computer firewall access
2. Removed chromium
3. Tried to put chromium in trash but wouldn't go

What is the expected behavior?
I want to delete this app and not deal with it as a private user.

What went wrong?
The popup says Do you want the application chromium.app to accept incoming connections. This happens multiple times while in my chrome browser. When I hit deny, nothing happens. The popups are dsitracting and I want to remove chromium but can't find it listed in applications.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 70.0.3538.77 Channel: n/a
OS Version: OS X 10.13.6
Flash Version:

Please assist me in getting rid of chromium popups on my computer and delete permanently from the computer.

Thanks for your report - Chrome does not show up in these prompts as "Chromium.app", so it sounds like you have something else going on here. The most likely possibility is malware on your machine, but there could also be some other problem.

It might be useful to check 'ps aux' for processes with 'Chromium.app' in their names, and then see what paths those are installed at, but I can only provide limited help with debugging this kind of issue.
Thank you for your reply.
