Treat 'image-rendering' value 'optimizeQuality' as alias/equivalent of 'smooth' |
||
Issue descriptionAs optimizeQuality is deprecated, we should support use of 'smooth'. CSS WG resolved in https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/3283#issuecomment-436826546 Unfortunately, no other browsers support 'smooth' yet.

We should also treat 'image-rendering' value '-webkit-optimize-contrast' as alias/equivalent of 'crisp-edges' https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=317991#c25

(From the perspective of the lower layers) I think we can do something reasonable with 'smooth' and 'high-quality', but not really 'crisp-edges'. The way '-webkit-optimize-contrast' is currently is via a bilinear filter... which is not really what's intended by 'crisp-edges' the way I read the spec. |
