[Emoji Keyset] Mouse pointer disappears for every emoji selected

Chrome OS Version: 11151.23.0, 71.0.3578.39 beta channel nocturne

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Right click on Launcher search field > Emoji to bring up Emoji keyset
(2) Click on the Emojis and start inserting them using Touchpad.
(3)

What is the expected result?

What happens instead?
Mouse pointer disappears for every emoji selected. One of the Emojis (i.e. 'smiling' emoji) is not displayed correctly after adding it in the search field. Please refer the repro video for clarity

A quick look-into:

Seems like whenever click on keys that will trigger input will make the mouse disappear, the emoji keys as well as any letter keys, while other keys such as handwriting key, emoji category key, will not have this issue.

Will keep digging.
