Cannot view PDF images in other tab

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/70.0.3538.67 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open 500 page PDF 2. Place pointer on an image and right click 3. No menu item to view image in other tab What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? User must enlarge the whole 500 pages via CTRL++++ just to make the image bigger. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 70.0.3538.67 Channel: n/a OS Version: Flash Version: I was reading the PDF attached to http://www.hakka.gov.tw/Content/Content?NodeID=627&PageID=37413

Able to reproduce the issue on chrome reported version# 70.0.3538.67, latest stable# 70.0.3538.77 and on latest chrome# 72.0.3604.0 using Windows-10, Mac 10.12.6 and Ubuntu 14.04 with steps and sample file provided in comment# 9. As this issue is seen from M-60(60.0.3112.0), hence considering this issue as Non-Regression and marking it as untriaged. Thanks!

This is a nice idea, but it is not easy to implement, so we will politely decline to do so. I do not believe any popular PDF viewer does this. A webpage is made up of separate HTML / CSS / image files. Thus it is easy to view just an image. A PDF file is a single file that contains all the resources. It is somewhat hard to extract out the images inside. |
