Dragging and droping a bookmark on another bookmark causes the browser to crash

Reported by sscar...@gmail.com, Nov 7

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/72.0.3603.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open chrome://newtab
2. Have atleast two booksmarks bookmarked, pick and drag a bookmark over another bookmark.
3. The browser instantly gets closed and upon next boot you're greeted with "Did Chromium shut down correctly?" dialog.

What is the expected behavior?
The browser doesn't crash

What went wrong?
The browser crashes.

Crashed report ID: No

How much crashed? Whole browser

Is it a problem with a plugin? No

Did this work before? Yes I don't know

Chrome version: 72.0.3603.0 Channel: n/a
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version:

I'm on Chromium, not chrome, so don't ask for crash reporting ID because it's not available on Chromium.

Can you give us a stack trace then? You'll need the debug symbols from where ever you got your chromium build.
Did you try to reproduce first ? I can reproduce at will and everytime browser crashes.

I've tried in Chrome Canary 72.0.3604.0 and it didn't reproduce.

I'm not sure where you got your chromium build so I wasn't able to try. Different vendors distribute different builds.
Btw, drop the left-most bookmark on the right bookmark then only you will be able to reproduce and not the other way around.
Can't reproduce on 72.0.3605.0, so I guess it's patched already??
