When you run autotests on a device you can see lots of "SSH master connection down" lines and apparently the SSH connection is recreated for every remote command invoked. This wastes time and resources, also as it seems it doesn't actually terminate the connection at all, there are hundreds of stale connections on the device.

I suspect this can significantly contribute to the overall slowness of autotests and reliability of tests on actual hardware.
