Out of curiosity I installed digikam under crostini. At the first start the UI came up and allowed to configure a bunch of settings. Then after a few seconds the Chrome OS user session crashed. The crash is now reproducible by starting digikam.

The app itself is probably not a high priority at this point, but it might still be interesting to understand why it crashes.
