Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/70.0.3538.77 Safari/537.36 Example URL: Steps to reproduce the problem: Reproduction step: 1. $ echo "Hello World" > textfile 2. $ gzip textfile 3. upload textfile.gz to some domain (FTP) 4. download textfile.gz from that domain (Google Chrome) 5. Content of the downloaded file is "Hello World" instead of a gzip-archive What is the expected behavior? downloading a gzip-archive What went wrong? extracting the gzip archive Did this work before? Could you get us a network log as described here https://www.chromium.org/for-testers/providing-network-details ? If the download is via HTTP, it's likely that the server is incorrectly adding a "Content-Encoding: gzip" header. If that's the case then the browser is supposed to decode the stream.
