Hi, This is not a Chromium issue. Screencastify does not support Chrome 71 yet (which was just released as beta today for ChromeOS, https://chromereleases.googleblog.com/2018/10/beta-channel-update-for-chrome-os_31.html). We (Screencastify) will get this fixed before hits Chrome 71 hits the stable channel. Devices on the stable channel should not receive Chrome 71 yet though.

Thank you for clarifying the Screencastify extension's behavior. It looks like the issue is then squarely with the Camera app, when launched from the device.

Update: We shipped an Screencastify update in the meanwhile which fixes the issue with Chrome 71.
