"Jump to a specific tab" doesn't work as intended on Mac OSX with French keyboard |

Issue descriptionChrome Version: (copy from chrome://version) 72.0.3596.0 (Official Build) canary (64-bit) OS: (e.g. Win10, MacOS 10.12, etc...) MacOS 10.13 What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Have 10 tabs opened (2) Use French keyboard on the Mac (3) Use Command-shift-& (to do cmd-1) : it works (4) Use Command-shift-" (to do cmd-3) What is the expected result? It should go to the 3rd tab What happens instead? It does a screen capture Same with keys from 3 to 6 (but it works for 1,2,7-9) https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/157179?hl=fr Please use labels and text to provide additional information. Is there any plans to revert to the old behaviour ? "Command-&" used to work until chrome 70 to do "Command-1" As a french (AZERTY) keyboard user, it is annoying to have to press the extra shift. I don't think "Command-&" is actually in use. Firefox also has the behaviour to alias "Command-&" as "Command-1" Thanks !

In my case things changed when I upgraded to MacOS 10.14 Mojave (I do not know if my Chrome updated at the same time, but my current version is 70.0.3538.77). I have a French keyboard BEFORE (and this had been the case for ages) : Cmd-& (key with the 1 accessible via shift) activated the 1st tab, and similarly for Cmd-é (2nd tab), Cmd-" (3rd tab) etc... AFTER : These keys don't do anything anymore. You now have to press shift at the same time to get the same effect, which is highly inconvenient and habit breaking. And on top of the inconvenience, keys like like Cmd-Shift-3 or 4 or 5 kick off the Macos screenshot functionality. Thanks for looking into this.
