Issue descriptionChrome Version: 72.0.3593.0/11204.0.0 dev-channel Kip,Peppy and Paine OS: Chrome What steps will reproduce the problem? (1)Sign into User -> at Uber tray -> click on 'Accessibility' -> Select 'On-screen Keyboard' option -> click on Icon (2)Now at upper part , hover mouse on Icon( '>' or '<') and observe for tool tip (Please refer Video) Expected: Tooltip(such as 'Back' or 'Next' or 'Collapse' or 'Expand' ) should be seen on hovering mouse pointer on '>' or '<' Actual: Instead tooltip is seen missing This is Non-Regression Issue as Icon is introduced from 72.0.3593.0/11204.0.0

Don't think there's tooltips on Android (which is a mouse oriented UX element). Even if there is, most people don't see it, coz Android is primarily a touchscreen-only system by design. Also, this is actually a feature request. Will implement tooltips using strings in comment 1. However, there's no precedence of tooltips in the keyboard's "new UI" yet, so pls provide UX mocks and specify visual behaviours first. Thanks.

Yeah...I remember some discussion about tooltips. We don't really have tooltips for the reason Bao-Duy mentioned. We should discuss whether it's useful. |
