Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.100 Safari/537.36 Example URL: https://jsbin.com/buvomepivo/1/edit?html,output Steps to reproduce the problem: Displaying
ab
(see the provided URL). The tag "" is arbitrary: any tag will do. The tab character must precede the text that includes the shy hyphen. What is the expected behavior? "ab" should be displayed without any strange displacement. What went wrong? The "b" displaced to the left, overlaping the "a". Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? No Does this work in other browsers? No Safari Chrome version: 69.0.3497.100 Channel: n/a OS Version: OS X 10.13.6 Flash Version: In Firefox the behaviour is as expected. This is probably an old problem, as it also occurs in Safari. I have also reported it here: https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=190782

Able to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version #69.0.3497.100 and latest canary 72.0.3596.0 using Mac OS 10.13.6, Windows 10 and Ubuntu 17.10 by steps as per comment#0. The behavior is seen from old M-60 builds(#60.0.3072.0). This is non-regression issue hence marking it as untraiged and requesting someone from the dev team to look into the issue. Thanks.!
