Linux apps no longer have internet access

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS aarch64 11151.11.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/71.0.3578.21 Safari/537.36 Platform: 11151.11.0 (Official Build) beta-channel kevin Example URL: open any network dependent linux app and internet access no longer works Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. launched thunderbird or other network dependent linux app 2. reports no internet connection 3. chrome and android internet connection works fine What is the expected behavior? access internet resources in linux apps What went wrong? Though chrome and android apps works fine with the network, linux based apps cannot access the network/internet Did this work before? Yes Chrome version 70 in beta Chrome version: 71.0.3578.21 Channel: beta OS Version: 11151.11.0 Flash Version: 31.0.0.122

turns out if I edit /etc/dhcp/dhclient.conf then add prepend domain-name-servers 8.8.8.8 and prepend domain-name-servers 8.8.4.4 Then, run: $ dhclient -r $ dhclient it works

So this does work but only temporarily. If you let the computer go to sleep then wake it back up...the prepend doesn't stick and the dns settings are gone from resolv.conf requiring this run $ dhclient -r $ dhclient to get back online
