Weird key repeat behavior in Wayland apps

Project Member Reported by jkardatzke@chromium.org, Oct 25

Issue description

This was from ToT yesterday. If I open a Wayland app (like gedit) and then hold down the 'a' key, it will repeat 'a'. If I keep holding down 'a', and then also hold down 'b', then 'b' repeats. If I then let go of 'b', while still holding 'a', 'b' continues to repeat (and I'm only holding down 'a' at that point). This does not happen in X11 apps. It does not happen in gedit on my workstation.

This happens with any keys that I tried.

This is an issue in GTK apparently:

https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=781285

It's fixed in GTK+ 3.22.16 (and we are on 3.22.11-1 in Crostini).
