AR texture from WebXR is "random" flickering colors |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: Chrome Canary 72.0.3591.0 OS: Android 9, Pixel 1 When running AR content, the texture from the camera that gets rendered is flashes of different colors, probably from camera, looks like it's taking one pixel and applying that to the entire canvas. I've encountered this on a Pixel 1, and then it started working subsequently for me. Maybe an intermittent. Others have reported this occuring on a Pixel 2 and 3: https://github.com/googlecodelabs/ar-with-webxr/issues/10 https://github.com/googlecodelabs/ar-with-webxr/issues/8#issuecomment-431939338 What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Enable webxr/webxr hit test flags (2) Go here on an AR enabled device: https://googlecodelabs.github.io/ar-with-webxr/final/ (3) Start the AR session What is the expected result? Should render the camera texture in the XRPresentationContext. Sometimes this happens. What happens instead? "Random" colors in the canvas instead.

I'm confused by the versions involved. You said you saw this issue on 72.0.3591.0? The fix should have landed in the earlier release Canary 72.0.3590.0 according to https://storage.googleapis.com/chromium-find-releases-static/c86.html#c863ca7f940596f692ac7aa0590d70ab930b3fcd Are you still seeing the problem on current Canary versions?
