"Forget" button for WIFI network configurations does not forget DNS and StaticIP settings |
||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 72 OS: ChromeOS (1) Connect to some WIFI network. (2) Change static IP or name servers for your machine in Settings->Network. (3) Click on "Forget" button for this WIFI network. (4) Connect to the same WIFI network. Expected result: all user settings are gone. Happens instead: IP and DNS settings remain the same.

If it helps I can confirm that shill profiles for user and shared settings do not contain any info about this network until you reconnect. Also restarting shill fixes the problem.

Does the problem also occur if you restart chrome (just run 'restart ui' or log in+out)?

Restarting UI doesn't help.

Note that the same problem happens when switching between users and when the network was configured as private to one of the users (more details in the merged issue 704693). |
