Sony WH-1000X M3 headphones not recognized via bluetooth

Issue description

Chrome Version: 69.0.3497.120 (Official Build) (64-bit)
OS: Chrome OS 10895.78.0 (Official Build) stable-channel eve

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Turn on the headphones and attempt to find them for pairing in the bluetooth menu
(2) Headphones never appear

Alternatively:

(1) Enable Play Store
(2) Download & install the Sony Headphones Connect App from the Play Store
(3) Try to pair through the app via the app's instructions; nothing happens

What is the expected result?

Headphones are pairable

What happens instead?

Nothing, headphones never show up in the bluetooth menu
 
Summary: Sony WH-1000X M3 headphones not recognized via bluetooth (was: Sony WH-1000X M3 not recognized via bluetooth)
Note I've confirmed these headphones are pairable with other devices, such as an iPhone 6s and a Macbook.

Pairing and connecting to Bluetooth devices via ARC++ apps is not supported.  Please use ChromeOS system UI to pair and connect to Bluetooth Devices
