Issue 138312 which was solved back in 2012 has raised its ugly little head again

Reported by shawanva...@gmail.com, Oct 24

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.100 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Load Chrome
2. Print a PDF
3. Default is now set as duplex

What is the expected behavior?
Chrome should default to simplex printing

What went wrong?
Chrome defaults to duplex printing and has to be reset each time it is restarted.

Did this work before? Yes -1 version

Chrome version: 69.0.3497.100 Channel: n/a
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)
Flash Version:

Please fix this I hate having to go back to IE

Probably bug 896244?
Labels: Needs-Feedback
Possibly. Still haven't been able to reproduce that bug though, so it's hard to say for sure.

Reporter: What printer/driver are you using?

Also, a couple things to try that will help in fixing this issue:
(1) Can you see if disabling "New Print Preview" in chrome://flags makes any difference in the behavior?
(2) Can you test in the latest version of Chrome Canary, 72.0.3589.0, and see if the issue is fixed there?
With all due respect....I have a business to run - I don't have the time or
the energy to play tester/troubleshooter for a multi-billion dollar
software firm :-). Its easier to use an inferior browser.

I have two PCs - both Dells running WIN-7 Pro - which I have to run because
my Point-of-Sale System won't run on Windows 10

Both printers are HP. One is an Laser Jet MFP 127fw. One is a Laser Jet
1102W

Driver is: HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127-M128 PCLmS ; HP LaserJet PRO 1102W

Disabling New Print Preview use does not change the behavior

I'll test Chrome Canary later today

As the setup mentioned comment#5 is not available at TE end, hence routing it to Inhouse team for further triaging of the issue. Hence adding TE-NeedsTriageFromHYD label.

Thanks.!
In addition to comment#7, as there is no printer with duplex capability at TE end, hence requesting someone from Inhouse team to look into this issue.
Thanks.!

Status: Duplicate (was: Unconfirmed)
Seems this issue is similar to Issue 896244 as this issue is reproducible only when #enable-new-print-preview flag is turned on.Fix for this is already merged to M71.
Hence merging this into Issue 896244.

Thanks!
