What is the expected result?
Should go back to the google search results page.

What happens instead of that?
A fragment navigation happens. Have to hit back a second time to go to Search.

The URL of the broken page is https://ctrlq.org/google.apps.script/docs/advanced/gmail.html. You can see the same bug if you navigate directly to that URL (there's a history entry without any user interaction). 

Shivani/Charlie: This sort of accidental case is what I was referring to as something that we'd ideally fix along with any other changes we make to back history for abusive cases.
