The Notification sound is too loud, how do I mute it?

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Chrome notifications too loud.

What is the expected behavior?
I want to mute the notification sounds.

What went wrong?
Too loud notification sound.

Did this work before? N/A 

Chrome version: 69.0.3497.100  Channel: n/a
OS Version: OS X 10.13.6
Flash Version: 

I want to mute the notification sounds. in Chrome incoming email.

Can you take a screenshot/screencast of the notification? Many of the notifications from Chrome are sent to macOS, which controls the alert volume.

I don't know what happened or what I did but the sound has stopped when
notification of an email arrival pops up on the screen... Thanks for your
response.

I fixed it somehow...don't ask me how...the notification
sound has stopped, muted???
