Admin reports not being able to allow PIN

User greg@depasse.us is an admin at their organization but cannot allow PIN entry as a quick unlock mechanism (originally reported in  crbug.com/896881 ). User is CC'd.

Greg, after a quick glance through managed policies, it seems that "QuickUnlockModeWhitelist" [1] is the policy that you can use to allow PIN entry. Have you tried configuring that policy? If not, is this policy confusing/difficult to find? If you have, does it behave as expected?

After looking at that Code, it appears that it could be what I need.  But honestly I have no idea how to set that policy.  And I can't find that policy setting anywhere in the Admin Console.

Any chance you can also add Instant Tether?  That's suffered the same fate.  I can't enable it on the device, nor in the admin console.

Greg, thank you for reporting that (and your continued feedback!). I've filed crbug.com/899283 to track issues with Instant Tethering. Please take a look and respond when you have the time.

Any news on pin unlock the original request. Our admin users cannot access the setting which appears to be quite important for work station usage. Please expedite if this a quick win
