In Issue 896907 a few requests for enhancement for the ChromeOS keyboard layout were made. One concrete action item is whether a "US International (Mac)" keyboard layout could be provided. This would emulate the way that accent characters are typed on Mac (e.g. "Option e e" to type "é"), and would also provide useful characters like emdash ("Option -").
