Issue descriptionAndroid version: Android 8.1 one plusA5000 Build/OP1.171019.011 WebView version (from system settings -> Apps -> Android System WebView): 66.0.3359.126 Application:Webview Application version:66.0.3359.126 Device name: One Plus 5,5t,6. and various other devices having arm64-v8 architecture. Works fine in armeabi-v7. Steps to reproduce: (1)Click on link "https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/" (2)Try to fill up the form. Expected result: User will fill the form and proceed. Actual result: While filling a form in devices with architecture armeabi-v7a things work fine but when it comes to other devices (arm64-v8a) user is unable to type it correctly (whatever user types it shows reverse or sometimes it type nothing). When it comes to Chrome tabs or chromium, the same scenario occurs. Even in default Google chrome on mobile, it doesn't work. On Mozilla Firefox it works fine on all devices. PFA Thanks Rohit Behl

behlsoft@, thanks for the screen record. I do have the search result similar to you for this website https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/. But unfortunately I can't reach this website. Maybe this website is blocked for visitors outside of India? Is that possible for you to reduce the website to a static html page contains only few input elements, yet still representative enough to reproduce this bug? Does this same issue happen on Chrome for Android?

Also could you please try the newest version of WebView, currently M69 or M70.

Hi Team Please try visiting "https://uidai.gov.in/" and then follow the same step. Yes, I am facing the same issue with Chrome for Android too and logged bug too ( Issue 898099 ). I will surely try to make static HTML and will let you know. I am using 69.0.3497.100 for chrome and webview is disabled. As at a time chrome or webview one can be enabled

Issue 898099 (Chrome) is merged with other issue. Please check that too, it has static page embeded (Issue 824142)

WebView and Chrome share most of their code, so there's no need to file a separate webview bug if it also reproduces in Chrome - if they're broken in the same way then they will also likely be fixed in the same way.
