Adjust heights and sizes

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_14_0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/70.0.3538.67 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. let user reduce/increase font size in chrome for the browser window
2. let user reduce height of tab bar
3. OR atleast create version of chrome i.e compact, easy, touch

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
Not much but UI could be better

Did this work before? N/A

This is a proposal of a solution.  What's the problem being solved here?  If the answer is "my tab bar takes up too much space", what's the definition of "too much" and what practical consequences are imposed?

Building customizable UI sizes has a pretty nontrivial cost that we'd only want to pay if the benefit was worth it.  Can you explain the benefit in detail?
