Something in the extension's content script (cs.min.js) breaks the site so I think this is something the extension's authors should solve. The devtools console displays "Failed to execute 'requestFullscreen' on 'Element': API can only be initiated by a user gesture." Maybe the extension tries to intercept the click and sends a fake click event, which Chrome dismisses as a fake.

@8 I think this is the combination of native bindings + UAv2. This work is tracked in issue 860509 . You could confirm by checking whether *disabling* UAv2 manually makes this pass, even with native bindings. Thanks for the bisect!

Disabling both features seems to disable the bug: "--disable-features=UserActivationV2,NativeCrxBindings" But force-enabling these features doesn't produce the bug reliably so there's probably something else at play. Like maybe timing. Reporter, try adding the above to your Chrome's shortcut command line and make sure to exit Chrome from its menu before starting it from this modified shortcut.

There is definitely a timing involved. I maximize the video within 1 sec of load the page it works. But After while error comes up.

Just adding more context here, tested again using this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6uvv1aS5_I Let it play 30 seconds in to the video, on Mac OS X v10.13.6 (High Sierra) using Chrome Version 69.0.3497.100 (Official Build) (64-bit). Was able to enter full screen no issue. I now see that there's an update for my Chrome version, so I'll update and try again and report back.
