Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/70.0.3538.67 Safari/537.36 Example URL: https://jsbin.com/qiniricubu/edit?html,css,output Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open https://jsbin.com/qiniricubu/edit?html,css,output What is the expected behavior? Inputs should align to the right as they do in other browsers. What went wrong? Inputs are misaligned (visible between last input and the one before it). Does it occur on multiple sites: N/A Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 70.0.3538.67 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: In the elements panel of the dev tools, if we move the input node elsewhere (by drag and drop) and then move back to their original position, they will align properly (see attached note.png). This reveals that all but the last inputs per column are misaligned.

Looks like an ancient WebKit / Blink bug. Nothing to do with multicol, though. I'm not a whitespace expert, but I assume this bug is valid? LayoutNG does not have this bug, FWIW. :)

This seems issue 40634. For a workaround, please remove space/newline characters before `<br>`. Confirmed doing so fixes the jsbin. |
