Did this work before? baudav@ Thanks for the issue. Able to reproduce the issue on Windows 10, Mac OS 10.13.3 and Ubuntu 17.10 on the reported version 70.0.3538.22 and the latest Canary 72.0.3587.0. Attached is the screen cast for reference. This is a Non-Regression issue as this is observed from M-60 chrome builds. Hence marking this as Untriaged for further updates from Dev. Thanks..

I'm afraid this is intentional. When people copy part of a URL, and that part includes the beginning of the URL, they almost always want the scheme (such as http://) at the beginning. (They almost always want to paste it as a URL, pointing to the domain in question.) We previously had the other behavior and got a number of complaints about it.

ok, perhaps I use https before, and can copy only domain without https:// This is not possible with http because chrome not display it in the url omnibox. |
