Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_14_1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/70.0.3538.67 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Make sure the --use-google-local-ntp flag is not enabled 2. Open a new tab in Chrome What is the expected behavior? The new tab page is aesthetically awesome, and particularly, the Google logo is in its correct place (see Expected.jpg) What went wrong? The Google logo is very high in the page (see Wrong.jpg) Did this work before? Yes Chrome version: 70.0.3538.67 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.14.1 Flash Version: Although I can reproduce it with the setup I indicate in this report, I've seen also a few reports in the Google Product Forums: * https://productforums.google.com/d/msg/chrome-es/u7DjrxPGd50/BhhiG6RlBQAJ (in Spanish) * https://productforums.google.com/d/msg/chrome/aQokypkyjqY/EQNapkKDCQAJ Also, this problem does not occur when setting the --use-google-local-ntp flag.

Also, I made a mistake in the original bug! I use 70.0.3538.67 beta, not the stable channel.

Able to reproduce the issue on Win-10, mac 10.13.3 and Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome reported version #70.0.3538.67 and latest canary #72.0.3587.0. This is a non-regression issue as it is observed from M60 old builds. Hence, marking it as untriaged to get more inputs from dev team. Thanks...!!

Hey all, Our community experts are reporting seeing this behavior as well. Here's what we know: - The logo moves up when using a custom wallpaper. It's correct when using default settings. - This started appearing around the 20th across multiple Chrome versions. This probably isn't related to a Chrome update, but may be a server-side change. Adding the NTP component for further triage.

Thanks for the report. This affects NTPs with a background image (or theme with a background image). Kyle's looking at this issue. It's caused by a server-side change, and a fix should be rolled out asap.

Great, thanks for the update! I'll update the thread in the Spanish Forum thread so the user knows that this issue is being looked into and should be solved soon. It's weird because only one user came to the Spanish Forum telling us about this problem, but it seems like this should be a more generalized problem, given that a considerable amount of people use background images in the NTP...
