I am experiencing this as well. I'm a gsuite user if that matters.

I noticed a message briefly after the reboot after the upgrade to 71 which said that due to a change, SmartLock would need to be re-enabled or reconfigured. However, the option to do so doesn't exist under settings.

Thank you everyone who reported feedback on this issue!

This sounds like a known issue which is currently one of our top priorities. Can those who are experiencing this issue confirm that Smart Lock no longer appears when they go to Settings>Lock Screen?

Confirmed that it isn't there (see attached). I'm a Gsuite user though, and I've never been able to use PIN either (you can see the icon indicating that the PIN/Password setting is controlled by my organization - and I am the admin of my organization but there isn't a policy to enable PIN). So I always wonder when stuff happens like this if it's because GSuite users aren't allowed, or if it affects General Population.

Thank you Greg! This sounds exactly like the known issue I mentioned earlier. I'm merging this issue with it. We'll be landing the fix for it today hopefully, and it should be in the next dev-channel update.

Thank you for also raising the issue of not being able to enable PIN entry. I've opened another bug (crbug.com/898243) where that issue can be discussed. Can you please respond on that bug as well? (your feedback is greatly appreciated!)
I saw that bug, and was wondering if this was related. :-)

I'll track those 2 bugs now. thx
