Has test been able to repro this?

That's unrelated to the tooltips manager or anything else. It's specific to our wayland work.

Unable to reproduce the issue on ubuntu 17.10(wayland) using chrome stable version #70.0.3538.67 and latest chrome #72.0.3591.0 as per comment #0. Observed that tooltips did not stop working after few seconds.
Attached a screen shot for reference.

msisov@ - Could you please check the issue on latest chrome #72.0.3591.0 by creating a new profile without any apps and extensions and please let us know if the issue still persist or not. Also please let us know if anything missed from our end in reproducing the issue. Could you please provide the chrome version in which the issue is seen.

It’s not related to the stock chromium and XWayland. Check my comments above and check the blocking task. Removing the labels because those are not related to the tooltips framework...

Please remove the labels added.

It’s related how we handle hiding and showing tooltips on ozone/Wayland level!!!!!
