Unable to collapse more candidates view when delete some chars

Chrome Version: 71
OS: ChromeOS

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Open Google Input for Japanese
(2) Type 'ka' then press space.
(3) Click arrow to expand candidates
(4) Click backspace to delete last char.
(5) Keyboard stays at expanded candidates view but arrow key is missing.

What is the expected result?
More candidates view auto collapse when no item in more candidate view.
Or still show arrow button.
