Page doesn't finish loading - works fine on IE

https://www.poggioantico.com/wines/ doesn't finish loading in Chrome (shows a spinning wheel indefinitely), but works fine in IE.

Reproed on Windows 10 with Chrome 72.0.3580.0 (Official Build) canary (64-bit) (cohort: Clang-64)

Exact same issue happens in FireFox as well. The problem is that they are loading jquery as defer but then accessing it.

Since it hasn't loaded by the time they start accessing it, the page halts its loading state and you are stuck in a state where it is spinning a loading animation.
