Gallery does not scale portrait thumbnails well

Currently Gallery loads the thumbnails for portrait images as landscape. We should account for the image orientation.

Note: Feedback provided by UI review when looking at the updated Camera app UI.

This might be related to Issue 682593 -- (i.e. different parts of the image pipeline handling EXIF image orientation differently).
